Very well done series. Loved it!
Brilliant mini series. Teaches us in the Anglophone world how to do period drama (not modern characters in costume). Very well scripted, acted and directed. The visuals straight out of 15th c. Flemish paintings, stunning while uncluttered. Thank you so much for posting this. We wouldn’t be able to watch it without your subtitling work. Full marks to the team, well done.
Soooo, Maximilian was a petulant whiner? His father arranged an absolutely brilliant match for him but that was not good enough? And what about Maria? She was Charles’ heir, but nobody explained the basics of politics to her? Like not alienating everybody around you at the same time? She wants to marry for love, in a time when EVERYBODY had arranged marriages? Charles’ sister is supposed to be 12? She looks about 18!
