Two separate worlds lie on two sides of the road in a seaside neighborhood of Istanbul Both too close and too distant from each other. What happens when two young people from these two worlds fall in love?
Kemal is one of the three children of a middle class family that lives in the neighborhood. His only aim in life is to make a living and survive. It’s Kemal’s last year in mine engineering. His dreams are restricted with the truth and he doesn’t believe in miracles. Especially in miracles like love.
Kemal is soon tested when Nihan comes into his monotonous life. After that day Kemal’s world turns upside down and he loses control.
Nihan is the girl from the glamorous part of the neighborhood. She’s distant to the values of her environment; she’s actually distant to her own world. Kemal and Nihan’s love is almost impossible. But their love ignores the distance between them and they somehow manage to stay together. Until the day that Kemal has to leave Istanbul to work in a mine. That day will be a crossroad for Kemal and Nihan, a moment of a tough decision.
At that crossroads, Kemal has to accept that Nihan and him belong to two very different worlds. Along with this big life lesson, he buries his sorrows and moves to Zonguldak. What he doesn’t know is that Nihan too has a secret that she needed to burry with all her youth and love.
Kemal and Nihan are as apart as their worlds. And their love is now impossible.
Soon after Nihan marries Emir Kozcuoglu who has been in love with her since they were children. Although their marriage looks ideal from the outside, for Nihan there is no greater love than Kemal.
Kemal, heartbroken, turns to his job. All he has been doing for 5 years is to hide from his past. But life has other plans for Kemal besides the mines. One day a mine accident turns into a milestone for Kemal and a brand new path appears in front of him. This new path will bring the completely changed Kemal to Istanbul to affront Nihan, Emir and everything else that made him turn away.
Kemal won’t be able to escape his past anymore. His destiny will force him to complete his unfinished businesses.
This story will show us that all the balances we take for granted can change. That the status difference can change in favour or against. That destiny works to complete unfinished businesses. That someone we thought was far away can be very close and that those we thought were close to us are actually far away from us.
The story shows us that a love can leave a very big wound in a person’s life and that if that would isn’t healed it can turn into endless love.
