Álex González
Álex González
Augusto Alejandro José, known as Álex González, was born in the Lavapiés neighborhood of Madrid into a humble family. His passion for show business runs in his family. His mother, a singer, spread the music influence to him and his older sister, Churi, who would become the lead singer of the group El mundo de Murphy. Álex, for his part, dreamed of being a drummer when he was a child and, over time, he became fond of darbuka, the typical Arab drum with a cup shape and a ceramic structure. However, finally, he ended up opting for another scenario, that of acting.
His parents divorced as a child and he grew up closely with Churi, whom he considers his greatest support and friend, as well as sister. When his mother had to move to the Canary Islands for work reasons, Álex decided to stay in Madrid, follow in his sister’s footsteps and become independent, as she had already done some time before. He was only 16 years old and intended to go to work to pay for his studies. As a result, he worked in construction and as an electrician, furniture salesman, waiter or barbecue grill, an experience that burned his eyelashes on more than one occasion, he often recalls.
