Woman of Dignity

Woo A-Jin (Kim Hee-Seon) lives a luxurious life due to her wealthy father-in-law, but her father-in-law’s finances become decimated and her husband betrays her. Woo A-Jin’s life hits rock bottom.

Hwang Shi-mok had brain surgery when he was a child, which caused him to lack emotion. Now, Hwang Shi-mok works as a prosecutor. He is rational, but cold and lonely. He is also one of the only prosecutors not involved in corruption. One day, a dead body is thrown in front of him. He meets Police Lieutenant Han Yeo-jin at a murder crime scene. They work together to eradicate corruption at the prosecutor’s office and solve a serial murder case.

Set in a small coastal village in France, this is a quiet thriller of crime and dark secrets. The opening sequence takes place in a house just put out for sale. In it, the discovery of what appears to be the dead family in the house, implicates the former chief-of-police to the plot. The now-retired chief-of-police, having made a lot of enemies in his past career, is recovering from a car crash which he barely survived.
