Elisa di Rivombrosa. was made in 2003 it’s a spin-off of La figlia di Elisa – Ritorno a Rivombrosa that was made in 2007 they were 8 episode for season 3 and 26 episode for season 1 and 2 of Elisa di Rivombrosa.

Beautiful movie!The actors did their job really well and made this story immortal! I think this movie touches everyones heart in the deepest! What a pity that there’s no third part anymore!

They unfortunately only made two but maybe the miniseries The Crown Prince (2006) is something for you. It deals with Sisi’s and Franz’ son Rudolf. It was filmed in English, so I guess it is also available this way.
Currently I’m also translating Ludwig II (2012) which is about Sisi’s Bavarian cousin (and a bit about her sister Sophie) and it also features the character of Elisabeth since Ludwig and her were quite close.

Just for anyone wondering: This is the German version. There are at least two different cuts: German and Italian. The story is basically the same as the Italian one but from what I’ve heard and seen, the Italian version focusses more on romance and has an additional prologue of Elisabeth speaking. So if you have seen the series before (it also has dubbings into Spanish, French and Russian from what I’ve seen) and wonder why some scenes are missing or are different, this might be the reason.
